Place the dry coco discs in a shallow, waterproof tray with the small indentation facing up. Slowly pour clean water over the discs and give them a few minutes to expand fully into soft pellets.
Germination Guide for Coco Discs
Follow these simple steps to start strong seedlings in coco discs before moving them into your Happhygreenz hydroponic towers.
Once expanded, gently loosen the surface and place 6–8 seeds into the centre of each pellet. Adjust the planting depth by lightly pinching or compacting the coco so the seeds sit just below the surface. Cover the tray with a clear lid or film to hold moisture and keep it in a dark, warm spot for about 3 days.
After the first sprouts appear, move the tray to a bright location such as a balcony or windowsill with soft morning sun. Keep the coco pellets evenly moist by adding a little water to the tray once a day so they stay damp, not waterlogged.
Continue watering daily so the pellets never dry out completely. Aim for 2–3 hours of gentle sunlight or equivalent grow‑light exposure each day, and leave the thin white coco cover intact to protect young roots.
Once seedlings have a couple of true leaves and roots are well‑formed, shift the tray under grow lights or a bright balcony spot if you have not already. Keep moisture steady until each pellet is ready to be placed into the Happhygreenz tower net pots for the next growth stage.
